The International Conference on Teacher Education (ICTED) is a biennial event sponsored by the College of Education of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. The conference serves as a venue for sharing ideas among academicians, educationists, teacher educators, teacher-practitioners, school administrators, and policymakers on how teacher education can best serve society.
This year’s conference, which has for its theme “Teacher Agency and Educational Reform: Articulations, Conditions, and Possibilities”, will be held at GT Toyota Auditorium – Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines on September 1-3, 2016. ICTED 2016 foregrounds the theme of teacher agency, defined as the exercise of individual and collective power of teachers in the midst of challenging situations. It aims to create a forum for educationists, social scientists, policy-makers and students to discuss the central question: In what ways can educational reforms support or constrain teacher agency, for what purpose, under what conditions, and with what consequences? Join us to rediscover TEACHER AGENCY.
