GUIDELINES FOR ICTED 2016 PARALLEL PRESENTATIONS

In preparation for the 6th International Conference on Teacher Education (ICTED), please take note of the following guidelines:

 

Paper Presentation

 

  1. A paper presentation is an oral presentation in a parallel session which may be a conceptual, empirical, or practical articulation on the conference theme or strand.
  1. A paper presentation is given a 15‐minute time allotment, no matter the number of speakers/presenters.

It is followed by a 15-minute open forum after all the clustered presentations in the session have been made.

  1. Each room for clustered paper presentations is provided with LCD projector, laptop, clicker, speaker with built-in amplifier, and microphones with stand.
  1. Advanced loading of presentations in the Conference laptop is advised. This is to be coordinated with the session moderator. The ICTED adheres to the policy of confidentiality and intellectual property. No presentation will be distributed by the Conference organizer to anyone before, during, or after the conference, unless otherwise explicitly permitted by the author/s. Please email your PowerPoint presentation to icted2016reg@gmail.com by August 28, 2016.

 

Panel Discussion

  1. A panel discussion is organized by 3 to 4 proponents with shared interest or expertise in an area/topic relevant to the conference theme or strand.
  1. A panel discussion is given a 75‐minute time block, inclusive of the explanation of the rationale for the panel discussion, speakers’ presentations, and interaction among the speakers and with the audience.
  1. Each panel discussion room is provided with LCD projector, laptop, clicker, speaker with built-in amplifier, and microphones with stand.
  1. Advanced loading of presentations in the Conference laptop is advised. This is to be coordinated with the session moderator. The ICTED adheres to the policy of confidentiality and intellectual property. No presentation will be distributed by the Conference organizer to anyone before, during, or after the conference, unless otherwise explicitly permitted by the author/s. Poster Presentation

  1. A poster presentation is primarily a visual report on a topic relevant to the conference theme or strand.
  1. Poster presentations are organized into one session, during which presenters and participants have the opportunity to interact with each other and discuss the poster.
  1. A poster has to be 60cm x 80cm in dimension, and readable from about 100cm away. It keeps text to a minimum, emphasizes graphics/Illustrations/photos, and shows only the pertinent details.
  1. Each presenter is assigned a specific board for his/her poster. The poster should be set up before the session, remain up until the session ends, and promptly removed after the session has ended.
  1. Each presenter is advised to bring adhesive, pushpins, thumbtacks, or whatever material is needed to mount the poster. S/he may also bring a freestanding device, if necessary or appropriate.

 

Reminders for Presenters in Parallel Sessions (Paper, Panel, and Poster)

  1. If you did not include a bionote in your abstract submission, kindly send soonest a 3-sentence paragraph that can be used to introduce you during your session.
  1. You are encouraged to submit a full paper of your presentation for possible publication in the conference proceedings. Kindly include your contact details so you could be informed about the results. Please label the file as SURNAME TITLE OF PAPER.
